1. Therapist-guided process. Everything that can be worked out in the therapy room has been. The family therapist understands how to orchestrate significant changes in a family with minimal stress. Becky’s coaching will hold you accountable to doing right by your family, and she does it with compassion.
2. Structured separation, division of property, custody, and a co-parenting plan. We negotiate these things with the family therapist using a fill-in PDF guide that also explains key considerations for achieving the best outcomes.
3. Collaborative Legal Backup. Unresolved items are referred to collaborative lawyers – attorneys who agree to negotiate and mediate, rather than litigate. These amicable-oriented attorneys will ensure you receive a fair deal legally and take into account any relevant legal rights or laws that must be followed. Becky will help couples find collaborative lawyers in their area.
4. Ongoing Oversight. Once the divorce is final, we recommend continuing co-parenting management and oversight with a family therapist to ensure we do right by your family. We have other plans for co-parenting oversight available.
