We need you – couples need us!

We are recruiting therapists now who want to help fill the void for assisting couples in Crisis.
Fellow Marriage Therapists,
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in learning more about marriage crisis management training. As you know, a void in our training leaves us winging it when a couple finds themselves stuck and on the brink. They fall into a panicked state and need our help in numerous ways—coaching, knowledge, support, and guidance—all during one of life’s most stressful events. Until now, I have been one of the only people out there fully prepared to do that work, and I must admit, I can’t meet the demand.
When my book I (Think) I Want Out: What to Do When One of You Wants to End Your Marriage came out, I was fairly certain the demand would risen, and it is. I need other therapists across the nation and world who want to help develop a training and certification to get this show on the road, helping individuals and couples who are lost and confused. You can be a pioneer in the field of marriage crisis management, Marriage & Family Therapy’s newest niche.
In February 2025, I went to the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and presented for the first time on marriage crisis. I was amazed at the response and how many questions attendees had. I set a table throughout the conference where people could meet with me and ask questions, and we sold books. I am still stunned at the response. Because of that enthusiasm, I plan to go to San Francisco and the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists in May to talk to therapists about joining us.
As a group, we ask that you indicate your interest by being on our email list (see below). We also have a sign-up for our book study of my book above, which is the best place for therapists interested in becoming marriage crisis managers to start. I will moderate, of course, which will be required ultimately for certification in marriage crisis management. To sign up for the book study, click the button below.
In addition, we have created a private Facebook page for therapists interested in discussing marriage crisis management. If the link does not work, please email me at [email protected].
We also encourage other professionals involved with marriage crises, families, co-parenting, mediation, family law, and collaborative law to join in this training so you may learn more about what couples are going through in crisis and what they need. We encourage you to join if you care about families’ well-being and work in that field.
